MomentumCongratulations Students, Families and Staff! As one of only three CPS schools to receive this award, it is a testament to the incredible support and dedication from everyone in the Cheviot RamFam community!

The Momentum Award is presented by the State Board of Education and recognizes schools for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year. Schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the report card. The school or district must have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which include gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities.

We are PROUD to announce:
TLIM Seal and LogoOur school is using The Leader in Me program as an introduction to personal leadership. All students have the capacity to lead in their own lives and affect those around them by making positive choices. The Leader in Me provides students with activities to help them learn practical character and life skills that will lead to those positive choices. Written to appeal to their age level, students are presented with fun activities designed to get them thinking. We are all about to embark on an exciting journey, and our hope is that you will ask your child how he or she is doing along the way. This program gives you an opportunity to engage, hands-on, in what your child is learning and will lead to many “teachable moments.” Having your child reteach the content to you will give him or her an even deeper understanding and will give both of you an opportunity to learn together. Join the After School Y Family

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is thrilled to offer quality child care services at Cheviot Elementary through principles that promote youth development.  Our values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.  At the Y, our core values are not just a way of thinking-they are an integral part of who we are. They are the essential principles that unite us, guide our behavior, our decisions and our interactions with one another.  We are excited to offer free-to-low cost before and after school quality child care programs for your child.  Enrolling your child in the Y allows him/her to participate in many enriching activities including: Movement & Music, Culture Club, Reading and Math Tutoring, Homework assistance, Field Trips, Tennis, Special events, and much more.  The program also offers dinner, snack, and most importantly a genuine concern for your child.  We treat everyone as we would like to be treated and we are always accountable for our promises and our actions. As long as we stay true to ourselves and true to others, we cannot help but accomplish great things.  If you are interested in enrolling your child in the after school program at the YMCA at Cheviot Elementary please contact Sonia Delaine at 513.363.1400.
